Edge tore a pectoral muscle last week during the Mardi Gras angle with Kane, and will be out for an undetermined length of time. He's expected to give up the World title this Friday on Smackdown, and a battle royal will take place that night to crown a new champion, who will then defend his title at the Great American Bash.
Look for Batista to win the belt Friday night.
That just sucks for Edge. He was primed to have a long run with the title, and to be the top star on that show.
Batista doesn't need the belt. But you can't tell people that. This is were they should have kept Miiissssssster Keeeeeeeeeeeenedy on Smackdown, they could have had a younger star break in over there faster. If its a Battle Royal for the title then they need to let Kenny Dykstra or Chris Masters win it and see how they can run with it. If not so well they can always take it off of them next month at Summer Slam. If Batista does become the Champ then they need to have Dykstra or Masters to chase him.
TOTALLY agree about Kennedy winning that belt. He needs to go back to SmackDown as a surprise entrant in this battle royal and win that thing.
If not, I'd put it on Finley before Batista. Big Dave just bores me to tears, but there just aren't that many legit title contenders on Smackdown righit now.

If it was 5-6 years ago I would be inclined to agree with you. As much as I like Rick and respect the work he has done he no longer can carry a brand or company. I hope his last match is at WM, Im getting tied of watching him job at every newcomer that comes in. Flair needs to be just a straight manager for someone that has absolutely no MIC skills. Such as Umaga or The Major Brothers.

I really don't give a damn about Umaga, he sucks and should not be Intercontinental Champion.
The Sandman needs to go back to ECW and seems out of place away from it.
No one cares that the Great Khali was drafted to Smackdown and Snitsky was drafted to Raw because that's were they were before in the first place

I don't know Mongo, I just don't see Finlay as a champ. If it weren't for the little guy, he wouldn't have as much appeal as he does right now.
Mr. Kennedy will be a champ one day. He has the mic presence and charisma to elevate the company be it as a face or heel.

I also don't see Chris Masters making any kind of push. Vince was pissed at him when he lost some of his cut and sent him to obscurity.

I have seen only very little wrestling in the past few years. But, I did see Kennedy on the mic prior to wrestling UT. He didn't impress me to be honest.
Kennedy's mic presence does not impress me (I have never likes the whole Mistaaaaa Kennedy thing), but he does do the little extras that causes him to stand out. He definitely has potential.
