Please post your problems here - only problems!. For example, messed up BB Codes (i.e. quote tag).

Problems already reported and being worked on:

  1. Posts without username/uid
  2. Quote's and & in post title invalid parsing
The highlighted buttons that tell you when new posts have been made, they dont seem to update very often.

I will come back 10 minutes later and the buttons will be highlighted still, but no new posts have been made.
The "mark this forum read" buttons don't appear to be working. I click it and when it comes back all of the same threads are still marked as having new posts.
Nevermind, it seems to be working properly now.

+1, this is only problem I have been having. It is a small one but aggravating

It is unfortunately a limitation in MyBB 1.2, but it has been fixed for MyBB 1.4. The main reason we can't do it now, is because it required a full rewrite of the marking system.
What is the eta for implementation of MyBB 1.4?

1.4 isn't out yet - it's still in development - probably 3 months.

Check out some of the confirmed features here if you want: http://wiki.mybboard.com/index.php/1.4.0

Also you can check out http://surfionline.com/ + http://mybbgames.com/ + http://tiki.rct3x.net/ for some hints and clues to other features coming in 1.4

any info on the "highlighted/new post" buttons. It seems like its getting worse. I was off-online from 1p.m.-2:30p.m. yesterday, and the little "new post" buttons were highlighted, when I clicked on the board, there were no new posts since the last time I had opened the threads.
See my message 4 posts above
I received this message....

MySQL error: 1030
Got error 134 from storage engine
Query: SELECT s.ip, s.uid, u.username, s.time, u.invisible, u.usergroup, u.usergroup, u.displaygroup FROM mybb_sessions s LEFT JOIN mybb_users u ON (s.uid=u.uid) WHERE s.time>'1181065162' AND location1='404' AND nopermission!=1 ORDER BY u.username
UC board only...GTS is aware and working it...Calm down. It is the off season... :)
I received several similar messages when trying to access BlazerTalk and the Lounge so I imagine it is a site wide problem, right?
this is not a big problem but i noticed this yesterday when looking at my profile

Quote:
1,443 (2.55 posts per day | 373.83 percent of total posts)

Is this supposed to be a daily percentage or all time percentage?

It doesn't say that when I look at your profile: 1,448 (2.56 posts per day | 0.06 percent of total posts)

And it's all time percentage.

wow, sorry. I sware I copied and pasted it.
When I leave either this forum or BlazerTalk and go into the portal above "conferences" and go to C-USA or go to Rice I automatically get logged out. When I try to log in again, it automatically logs you back out. When I travel back to BlazerTalk, it automatically logs me back in.

WTF is going on around here?

Ok surfed a little more.........

this is weird. When I go to the C-USA page, it logs me out but when I go to the C-USA forum itself, it logs me back in. Same thing in the lounge.

Others are having this problem as well.

Happening at the UAB site as well, you go to UAB where it shows the various forums and you are logged out, click on a forum and you are logged back in again.

What are the links that you see in your url when it shows you as logged out?

http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=514

when I click on C-USA

I am using Firefox btw.
To make sure this isn't residual problems from the old domain setup.......

Clear your cookies.
Close your browser immediately.
Open your browser.
Go back to NCAAbbs and login.

Do you still have the problem?
yes
Did all "SEVERY" times

Happens at UAB, C-USA, and Lounge portal.

You go there logged out, go to an individual forum, logged back in........
Did cleaned cookies again for good measure. Still doing it.

Could it be a Firefox setting?
Weird because it works fine for me and I'm on Firefox :\
Ok it does it when I try in Firefox or IE but not AOL. Could it be some kind of setting set wrong I am overlooking?

Fixed.
Hate to add such a long reply but this keeps showing up at the top of all my pages

I still can't PM people. It keeps telling me their message box is full.
Apologies, I am doing debugging to fix the PM problem. It should be gone now for you guys
I frequent the MAC BBS. I usually login and go to the MAC Conference Talk first. Then I switch to Bronco Stampede.

I have to login again.

If a page doesn't load properly, I refresh and find I have to login again. (This happened tonight)

Earlier, I switched to this forum and found I had to login again. I got frustrated and gave up. Tonight I was able to get into this forum without logging in.

Multiple logins are frustrating.

your request does not compute. I am within the MACBBS during these events. I forgot... when I am losing my login status, all forums I am in get marked as read.

Can you restate your information request?

lol. Like is the url http://mac.ncaabbs.com/ or is it http://ncaabbs.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=x

When you log in or out it will mark all forums as read. It will 'reset' all temporary session data.

Was this before or after the server crash?

There was a crash?

I've got a technical issue at BlazerTalk... we have a visitor's guide to B'ham stickied, but only one part of my original post is visible. When I go into edit, I can view the entire post.

Is there a limit in place that controls the length of a single post? Is this something that could be altered for one post, or is it all-encompassing?

I don't believe there is a limit. Can you post the link to the problematic post?

We've got several Cincinatti folks that are looking for hotels and we need this info up (trying to show the Southern hospitality).

Thanks for your help!
You've probably already seen this, but this is from the new server at approx 10:17 pm CST tonight:

Known issue; will soon be fixed.

Yeh cron jobs were lost with the new servers - they will be up soon
On the Cincinnati board, the small "blue arrow" to show new posts in a thread is not disappearing after the thread is read.

Apparently the number of posts are not counting/showing either.
