Have you guys gone to check out practice yet? (I don't even know if it's open.)
Just wondered if y'all had an early assessment?
I know "My Son" is pumped and says the whole team is very jacked about the season!
Whatchu' hearing on the streets?
I haven't been to a practice yet but I suspect BPD may have. His office is close enough to campus for him to swing by for 30 minutes without a problem.
I have run into most of our offensive linemen at the golf course and they are super pumped about the season. I get a feeling that they all want to prove last year was not the exception, but rather the new rule of Deacon football.
I may have to get out and catch some practice soon. I want to see how Mac is throwing and see if Birgs is going to be able to step up and start at tailback for us.

What is this year's slogan?
Sorry it took me so long to respond, TDM. I just returned from the beach Friday afternoon. I went over to both practices yesterday to check out the freshmen. It was great just breathing the air of the August grass during football practice on a gorgeous day on the most beautiful campus in the world. There are some good athletes in this class. Bryan Andrews, the Ohio Parade All-American is a stud!!!! He's about 6'7" 240 and ripped. Chris Davis is really fast. And, the two guys from Northern Durham, Gattis and Adams look good as well.
Lucky you-a beach vacation!!
Thanks for the report. I get reports from Quintin. He says the whole team is fired up. I can't wait-really wish I could see the 1st game in person!!
I'll definitely be back out there on Thursday when everyone will be practicing. I can't wait for August 29th.
Are you going to N. Illinois?? I'm gonna be stuck by the 'puter listening to the live link.
I will certainly be there to cheer on my Deacs. Liquid Karma, Big Pimpin Deac Sr., and myself are flying into Chicago the day of the game. We're going to stand that little town on it's ear! God, I can't wait!!!
Don't bother trying to stand DeKalb on its ear - try the big town - now THERE'S a prize worth going after!!
Hey, is there a more frequented Wake message board? It's getting close!! <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" />
Dan,
Chicago is the town I was referring to.
