From someone I know who went to the game, this isn't even close to the treatment they received from Bears fans. They made Eagles fans look like Angels.

No, this pretty much sums up Shitcago.

You can say that about any NFL away game. Just talk to the Cleveland and Pittsburgh fans that go into Cincinnati, or anybody who goes into Heinz Field or Cleveland Stadium. How about the fans in Oakland? They sure aren't fun to deal with.
Unfortunately this is the way fans behave in today's sports world. WVU fans, OSU fans, etc., all treat visiting fans in this sort of way as well.

I'm a Browns fan, and even I am sometimes afraid to go to a Browns game. Aside from the fact that the Browns will lose the game, the fans there just are not cool. Obnoxious drunkards.
There's being a fan, and then there's being an a-hole.

Pretty ballsy, or as has been said, drunk, or just plain stupid. lmfao You gotta love what being a fanatic has come to.
Pretty dumb considering the Saints football team was merely an afterthought during Hurricane Katrina.

I'm just glad Chicago won. I couldn't handle any more football reporters going to people's houses in NO and pretending that they cared.

I think that is overly cynical, I would assume that the vast majority of sports reporters actually felt for the Katrina victims, as did the vast majority of the people in this country.

Puhlease....
The only reason people cared was that it was sensationalized on T.V. I don't hear anything about the rest of the Gulf Coast.

Biloxi/ Gulfport was a beautiful town when I visited. I'ma side w/ Blah. You never heard too much about the destruction that occurred there. Maybe ya did, I was out of town at the time.

I agree that the Gulfport/Biloxi area has been neglected (atleast in the press, I cant speak for otherwise) but FTR that wasnt at all my point.

Do you think there's a stronger US government presence outside the green zone in Baghdad or in Biloxi, MS?

Hate to break it to you, but there were plenty of A-hole Saints fans in Chicago for the game. Many stories of how they were acting were posted on http://www.chicagobears.com before the game. So I guess we should think ALL Saints fans are like this based on some of the morons that came up for the game?
Here is a letter that I read from Chicago paper.

we didn't hear about MS because the local government had a plan and handled business, where NOLA waited for the Feds to do something. MS handled it with the feds help, but did a majority of it on their own.
