I do agree with one of the replies. Bill Raftery is the best, IMHO.

I was watching a 1989 game between Indiana and Illinois on ESPN classic earlier, Dick Vitale was commenating and it seriously wasnt the same guy he is today. He actually had some insightful observations and made comments relative to the game. He didnt spend the whole time name dropping, it was better than tolerable, it was actually pretty good. What the hell is wrong with that man?

Packer is a butt munch but I would take him over Vitale ten times out of ten. Packer knows what he is talking about. I really dont like Rafferty all that much, his shtick gets kind of old to me too. I think Rick Majerus is the best color guy out there, that guy knows his basketball.

You mean like when he said that the MVC teams and George Mason didn't deserve to be in the NCAA tournament? That guy wouldn't know basketball if it hit him in the face.

Agreed, Raftery is hands down my favorite. Though I miss the Big Monday midnight matchups where Bob Carpenter and Jimmy Dykes called the games. Those two were great to listen to.
