One of the worst things about getting attatched to a dog is having to make the decision to put them to sleep, especially after you've had the same dog for 2/3rds of your life.

Yeah man that definitely sucks, my first cat is 14 years old now, I know she doesnt have all that much left. I cant imagine her not being around.

when my last dog got hit by a car it felt like my brother had died. pets are defianly part of the family

i got this book for christmas. really incredible read if you're a dog lover. the writer details his life with dogs and how they have almost become a part of him. he loses 2 dogs who were like his right and left hand in one year. the same year, he gets 2 new dogs and tries to adjust to a new life with them. if you're an animal lover, i highly rec getting this. its an easy read and very powerful.

I had to put down my 15 year old cat last February. She did purr for me one last time, now I'm going to cry

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Joltin'. I had to do the same exact thing to my four-legged partner of 15 years before the 2005 Football Season. It was one of the saddest days of my life. I was in total shock for almost a week after I did it.
