Well the SEC hasn't looked that good either (except against the ACC, but who hasn't). Maybe USC is the 2nd best.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the BCS championship game next season.
Nobody would be, if they had been able to beat UCLA they would be playing against Ohio State this year.
