I pretty much loved all the Rocky's except 5...even though 5 made more sense to me after I sat down and watched all the movies back to back this summer.
I still say 1 and 2 are the best. 3 and 4 were solid.
The Fairfax paper gave it 4.5 stars/5.
Another on-line reviewer I read said it was pretty fair.
The Lima News sports guy said he liked it.
I think AOL gave it 3/5 stars.
No-one I have read has totally panned it, if you like Rocky, I think you'll like it.
i didn't like it much. It was pretty boring and there were a couple of unnecessary characters. Not to mention stallone looked like barry bonds at the beginning of last season. The only good thing was the fight, which as usual, was awesome.
it was a feel good holiday deal. i mean, i could have told you the script word for word before even going in. i guess if you love any and everything rocky then go see it. personally, i wish i had spent my money on "children of men" instead.
and yea, stallone looked freakish.
I heard that there is no action until the last 20 minutes...

yea, its just a big sappy underdog story. thats about it.
I saw it tonight. Real good movie. Definaltey makes up for 5.
I saw it a few weeks ago and I liked it well enough to spend matinee money to see it again.
I must be one of the weird ones but I liked "V" as it was a necessary part of the of the story. Balboa had to come down from the mountain top following the events of #4. I'm just glad Stallone realized that "V" wasn't supposed to be the end.
My rankings:
Movie Preference:
Rocky I
Rocky III
Rocky Balboa (VI)
Rocky II
Rocky IV
Rocky V
Favorite Boxer Name:
Apollo Creed
Clubber Lang
Mason Dixon
Union Cane
Ivan Drago
Tommy Gunn
Favorite Boxing Match
Rocky vs. Creed II
Rocky vs. Creed I
Rocky vs. Mason Dixon
Rocky vs. Drago

5 made a lot more sense after I watched all of the movies back to back. It had a good commentary on sports agents like Don King ruining good fighters. But on the whole it was the worst of the bunch.
And what was up w/ Stallone's shoulder? IT had a lot veins showing.... has he had surgery on it? I know he's been into body building for a while.
