I-5 Southbound @2:30PM and a lot of people not working today because of the holiday, but it's still backed up for miles.

Other reasons:

low wages for electronic technicians
people are unfriendly
frequently flipped off on the interstates for extremely minor stuff
pagan culture -- half these people don't even know there is a God
rain, did you know it rains a lot here? But that's not a big reason
EXPENSIVE, and I mean almost like San Diego or other places in CA now.

But they have pretty trees and mountains up here--oh yeah. I guess that's why everybody puts up with it?

Sleeze hotel near Pacific Highway and 144th Street on the south side of town. This was ground zero where the "Green River Killer" killed over 60 prostitutes in the 1980's.

Damn dude, this is the second time you've posted it. Question for you, when does your indentured servitude run out? That way, you can move away from the chains that apparently bind you.

....ya know, most people that bitch about a place.....move.
If people would just discover god up there everything would be fine and dandy, right Endzone?

God, not god moron.
Where are you originally from? Its hard to tell from just looking, but it doesnt look any worse than DC or Baltimore rush hour traffic.

Well, this is 2:30 in the afternoon on a day when probably 20% of folks are taking Christmas vacation. You should of seen I-5 Northbound. It was backed up and stopped for 5 miles. I don't usually go this way, but I've never seen a traffic jam that was 5 miles long. That was a first for me. It may not be the worst in the nation, but it has to be in the top 5. The problem in Seattle is that everything moves N/S. There isn't anything to the west except water and mountains to the east.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Traffic is really very good there--at least on the west side of town.

I've lived in the DFW area for most of the past 27 years. Even Dallas rush hour traffic (I-635 and Airport freeway) is much more manageable than this. I would think LA and San Diego are probably worse than Seattle though.

Grebeard do you ever like actually work? You know, get paid for doing something useful? Or is your contribution to society to moderate these boards? I'm just curious. You seem to not be more than 15 minutes behind any post I make on this board--be it any hour of the day or night.

Good bye Seattle. Been nice knowing you. And thanks to RebelKev. Without his brilliant insight, I would not have known what to do.
Endzone, since you hate it so much, move someplace else. You have 49 other states, a federal district, and a bunch of other places to choose without having to change citizenship. Go someplace that makes you happiest regardless of money or job. But as I was always told, there is no such thing as a perfect place to live - everywhere has its ups and downs.

I know you're being sarcastic, but there's a reason I didn't go back to Mississippi when I ETS'd.

Yes, you're right. I want to go back to the place that has more ups than downs though. The only "up" about this place was the cooler temps which was a nice break from the brutal summers in Texas. The downs were a much longer list--see above.
All Creatures Of Our God And King

(1) All creatures of our God and King,

Lift up your voice and with us sing,

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou burning sun with golden beam,

Thou silver moon with softer gleam,

O praise Him! O praise Him!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

(2) Thou rushing wind that art so strong,

Ye clouds that sail in heaven along,

O praise Him! Alleluia!

Thou rising morn, in praise rejoice,

Ye lights of evening, find a voice!

O praise Him! O praise Him!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

(3) Thou flowing water, pure and clear,

Make music for thy Lord to hear,

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou fire so masterful and bright,

That givest man both warmth and light,

O praise Him! O praise Him!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

(4) Let all things their Creator bless,

And worship Him in humbleness,

O praise Him! Alleluia!

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,

And praise the Spirit, Three in One!

O praise Him! O praise Him!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

you think Seattle traffics bad? try having the dan ryan (90/94), one of the busiest expressways in the nation with over 300,000 vehicles daily, entirely reconstructed over a 2 year period with capacity reduced by 50%. its the most massive road construction undertaking in Illinois history. i feel no sympathy.

Though it may not be as busy as Chicago, nothing is worse than the driving habits exhibited in Miami-Dade. 03-pissed

I think you need to take a road trip down the turnpike to witness driving "island style". People literally drive in Miami just to piss each other off. I'll tell you people in Orlando, including the tourist districts, drive better than they do even here in Southwest Florida. 1 out of 13 people here drive intoxicated!
