So we finally put our our demo unit wich has the Sony Blu Ray( model BDP-S1 http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/%3Cwbr%2...raydiscsub ) in its regular box( the box you get when you buy one--not some generic pack in).

The only cables they give you are the Composite Video and Analog audio cables.

For a cool $1G and they can't even throw you a bone and toss in some component cables (granted when the movies start using the ICT (image constraint token) you can only get >=720p on a HDMI cable).

This kind of crap is friggin garbage.

At least the Toshiba HD DVD player @ $500 no less includes a HDMI cable.
This might be a stupid question, but why would anyone buy that when you can get a PS3 for a little more than half the price?

That is a whole other can of worms if wich Sony has to account for. Granted the BDP-S1 can do SACD and offers the multi channell out for it. But honestly how many folks have bought into the SACD (or DVD Audio ) formats?
