I watched this today, it was a pretty ****** movie if you ask me. It was like watching one of those CSI shows, but it was 3 hours long instead of one hour. I should have gotten the hint when the entire theater was full of 70 somethings. Or maybe that was because it was the 3:00 matin
It sucked...really? I was thinking about checking it out.
Alos looking forward to
Apocalypto
Eragon
We Are Marshall
I thought it was pretty good myself, but I could swear I'd seen it before ;-)
Seriously, I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it wasn't bad either, IMHO.
Oh, and my friend and I were the only two in the theater for the 1 pm matinee we went to.
I guess it wasnt all that bad, I was just dissapointed in the direction it took. Without turning this into a spoiler, I wish it would have gone with more of a sci-fi kind of angle.
As it was it played out just like every other Jerry Bruckheimer TV crime drama, I dont mind the genre, I just dont think it made for a very good movie.
Fair enough....
I appreciated the use of Hattiesburg resident and Southern Miss alum Gary Grubbs as the cop near the end.
I tailgated with him at a spring Black-Gold game...
No offense, but that guy with his hick accent reminded me of the cop from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I know it was set in New Orleans, but still.
Sorry we can't all be as edumicated as y'all Yankees.
Hey, I talk right hickish half the time myself.
I think it was noticeable because not a single other person in the entire movie talked with a southern accent.
Just a minor faux pas.
What I've always found strange is that most native New Orleaners talk with an accent that sounds closer to a Brooklyn accent than anything else...
Never been, so I couldnt tell ya. lmfao lmfao lmfao
I figured it would be a southern drawl with a creole french twist.
