I can't really say it was a great game...because we didn't play well in the first half at all. Our offense wasn't running that bad..but the shots weren't falling. We didn't hit any threes, and we missed a lot of close shots.

However, even though we were down 12 at the half, I had total confidence in the Pack. We finally hit our shots and kept up the great defense.

We held Michigan State to 30 points in the first half and 28 in the second half. That consistent defense. And Julius Hodge did an EXCELLENT job on Marcus Taylor. The only time he had an open shot was when Archie was guarding him, or he grabbed a loose ball or rebound. I dont know what his totals were...but I'm about to go check them out. Jules also got it done on the offensive end too. When Grundy went out...he took over. Who's the Rookie of the Year again??? (just kidding Tech fans03-wink). But you have to admit he really stepped it up for a freshmen. Even when he wasn't scoring in the first half, he was still driving and drawing fould. Then he had that HUGE block in the 2nd half on one of Michigan State's big men. Big all-around game for Hodge.

And how did Grundy have 16 points?? He only played like 20 minutes. I was really glad to see us win easily with Grundy on the bench. I would expect him to contribute more in the UConn game. It's gonna be tough. The Huskies have a great inside game...and Emeka Okafor is AWESOME!

Go Pack!!
Marcus Taylor was 5-22 for 18 points. That's great defense if you ask me. I know he had at least 6 free throws...then a couple threes on Archie and off loose balls.

Then Hodge was 5-7 for 16 points. Looks like a little difference in the shot total if you ask me.
I just saw that Evtimov had 12 points also.

2 of our top 3 scorers were freshmen! And everyone thinks the Pack will be in the middle of the ACC next year?? I think not!
