I'm buying a HDD Sony Camcorder. I really want to edit the video clips and put them on a dvd. What software do you recomend I get? It comes with one but most likely not the best. I want a really good software package. Thanks!

Well Final Cut I would love (also if I had training) but I have a PC.
Maybe this will help you narrowing this down for me. I am a first time buyer/user of a camcoreder and I basically want to do medium level editing of the video I shoot of my family. I would hope I could "cut and paste" the video I shoot. Thanks!
