I've sampled many flavorful winter brews. Sam Adams makes a hell of a winter lager. Blue Moon's winter ale is exquisite. I'm also a big fan of Clipper City's "Winter Storm." But the reason for this post is to dub my favorite winter time drinks besides beer. My tops:
Hot Apple Cider and Rum
Hot Chocolate and Peppermint Schnapps
Egg Nog and Rum
That's about it. If anyone has another drink they'd like me to try (preferably warm), I'm all ears.
Usually when winter rolls around and we drop down to 88 I warm up by switching from bushwackers to Painkillers. For Beer I go from Carib to Presidente.

;-) But if it's booze, it can only be good. You're really missing out on some cold weather drinking dude. Nothing like snow outside, a toasty room, lounging on the couch with a blanket and slippers on, watching some basketball, and a mug of cider and rum wrapped around your lips. That my friends is zen.

I will get some cold weather drinking in next weekend in Washington D.C. and usually plan one ski trip out west per year. Other then that I would rather drink my beer with flip flops on.

Oh man do I love wearing flip flops. I'll wear 'em till I can't. Once it gets below 40's, I have to throw socks and shoes on.
