--Pretty good movie from Pixar.. but from waht I gather they really skimped on the special features on the dvd unlike previous releases.

Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary SE
--Great movie and this time the movie gets presented in WIDESCREEN!!! Previous dvd was only full screen ( boooooooooo )

South Pacific CE
--I saw this musical in 7th grade.... I thought it was pretty good.

Ultimate Flint Collection
--Has both Flint movies... tehy were actuall good.... kind of a Bond spoof but not really

James Bond: 007 Collectors Sets Vol 1 & 2
--Best transfers of the films to dvd so far and have upgraded Audio as well. I think I will trade in all my other Bonds to have $$ to get the new remastered versions. From what I have read the new transfers look EYEPOPPING and they really make the older movies from the 60s and 70s look better

Rodgers and Hammerstein Box Set Collection (The King and I / Oklahoma! / The Sound of Music / South Pacific / Carousel / State Fair)
--For some folks I think that would be a pretty cool box set.

Solid and sequel rarely go well together. Have you noticed how a lot of sequels do relatively to extremely well in the box office but they never hold much weight over time.

Caddyshack is one of my favorite movies of all time and there is a Caddyshack 2 but I have never seen it.

i thought POTC 2 was as good as the first, in fact i think i liked it a little more. i'm not a big fan of either though. i've always thought they're a little overrated.

Ive never seen either of them.

It's kinda like Predator 2 :shhh: (even though upon further review it wasn'ty "that" bad...but it definately PALED in comparison to the first movie.

Or Nutty Professor 2 ... OMG.. I want my 1.5hrs of wasted life span back. I even got to watch it free on DirecTV that afternoon.

--OK.... #4 Band Camp was definaltey Direct to Video quality follow up to the three theatrical main movies in the series. It was American Pie in style... but not substrance or production quality... I am worried this DTV #5 will suck.

I was just looking at my latest DirecTV email newsletter, and it said you can order the Transformers movie on PPV for $12.95, and then get the DVD for free, and I thought of this thread.

I am going to trade in all of my Bond dvds and my Transformers: The Movie DVD so I can afford the new reissues of these movies this week.

Would you

a) Trade them in at Blockbuster so you can get a gift card and get some free rentals?

OR

b) Trade them in at EBGames/Gamestop toward some preorders of new Wii games(or games in general)?

OK..should I run my own Bond movie marathon before Casin Royalle comes out? That is a lot of Bond... not necessarily a bad thing!!!

I must say of my dvd purchases today...

Cars was the least impressive as far as the special features go.

NO AUDIO COMMENTARY... a staple on all other Pixar dvds. Very few extras all together. THe documentary on how John Lassiter and ____ travelled Route 66 and the research going into the making of the movie story was cool... otherwise a dissappointing dvd in the extras department. I still like the movie... but dissappointed in the dvd edition of the film on the extras side.

Transformers

GET IT"." Widscreen presentation makes it that much better. Pretty good special features and the "pop up video" like Transformer trivia that you can activate to play through the movie is pretty cool. They have the trailer for next years live action movie!!! And also a short doc on how the shooting and filming is going.... wow.. if they follow through on this..this movie will KICK ASS!!!!

Bonds Vol 1&2

BUY IT"." Even you have the other DVD sets.... the transfer and audio upgrades are astounding!!! And you get all the special features from before as well as some more stuff. OF the places that have it I'd reccomend Circuit City $55 ea. + if you buy both an extra $15 off the total!!! Noone is close on that price ( $55+ $55-$15). IF you are afraid of doubling up jsut trade them in at your local blockbuster or EB games.

WOW... I git doen watching Goldfinger off the new set(s). MAn the video and audio are AWESOME... Honestly the new transfer makes it almost like a newly shot film instead of 30+ years old. This set is definaltey for Bond fans and worth the money.

It appears all the movies get the 2 disc treatment.. 1 for movie + Audio commentaries. Disc 2 all other special features.
