Red Aurbauch died. Probably the best basketball coach of all time. I believe he lived in the Washington DC area at the time of his death, as he often attended Wizards games, He was 89.

I didn't get into the NBA as much in my youth, but remember the Celtics and Laker rivalry still... The Celtics in the 80s was possible because of Red.. he will be missed by all in the NBA.
