Early voting started today. I went about 11:30. There was a big crowd voting, and more came in before I left. I live in an area that generally votes about 65% reasonable, 35% Democrat. I wonder if the big turnout means that Republicans are spooked at the thought of Speaker Pelosi and will be turning out in larger numbers that pollsters expect. I hope so.
Of course they could all have been Democrats - can't tell by looking. We have more Republicans wearing overalls than three piece suits, so just because a person is old and appears to have a clothing budget with a picture of Jackson on it doesn't mean anymore that he is a Democrat.
Turnout could have been swelled by our four-way Governor's race - two independents vying with the regular party candidates. One former Republican stealing votes from the Republicans, one entertainer (named Kinky) stealing votes from the Democrats.
