Ricky Manning's alleged assault
You have to read it. It's so sad.
After this happened, Manning is rewarded with $21 million and is allowed to play. I don't see any congressional investigations into the thuggery in the NFL. But i guess it's all good, because all Manning did was beat the hell out of someone. Thank god he didn't take steroids like Bonds. what a load of BS!
Seems relatively mild if you ask me, nothing worth making a fuss about. He might get suspended for a game and he really doesnt deserve anything more. People get in fights and are bullied all the time and most of it never even goes to trial. This is a minor incident in my opinion.
Now what Albert Haynesworth did to Andre Gurode, that was despicable.

racial epithets and knocking someone unconscious is mild? what is wrong with you people? this is about a millions times worse than taking steroids and what haynesworth did.
stomping on someones bare head (in cleats) is much worse than slapping someone in the face a couple of times.

talk about downplaying what happened. they beat the crap out of the kid and c=verbally abused for no good reason. At least haynesworth did it in an environment where the adrenaline is running high.

What Haynesworth did is absolutely unprecedented, one of the uglies things I have ever seen inside or outside of sport. There is a reason he got the highest suspension ever for an on field action, and he should have gotten more.
How long have people been playing football? and nobody has ever done what Haynesworth did, dont chalk it up to adrenaline. :rolleyes:

so, he stomped on a guy's face. how many games did he get? IMO, it shouldn't be more than a couple.
i've gotta apologize. i didn't know the guy's helmet was off. i never saw it. i just assumed his helmet was on.
