Why does everyone go after Bonds, when clemens has the same exact question marks? Unless, the only reason you go after Bonds is because you don't like him, which would explain a lot. Clemens is a lot bigger than when he was a rookie and just like Bonds, he's putting up stats in his 40's that you never see. All i have to say is, it's about time Clemens name comes up.

I cant believe you still dont think Bonds has taken steroids.

If you ask me the difference is Bonds is muscular and Clemens is a fatass.

Also, contrary to what you said, there is precedent for pitchers performing at a high level after age 40, there is not such a precedent for power hitters.

Im not necessarily defending Clemens, I think there is a decent chance he has been using performance enhancing drugs, but it hasnt been as obvious as Bonds.

you have to recognize one fact that people usually don't understand; pitchers don't use HGH to build muscle mass, they use it in smaller doses so they can recover quicker. that's the reason most people don't talk about pitchers being on enhancers.

You think clemens is fat? IMO, bonds is fatter than clemens, especially this season. Do you think clemens could put up these numbers, if he were fat and out of shape?

There are plenty of fat pitchers that are good, Batolo Colon is fat, David Wells is fat, Jose Conteras is fat, CC Sabathia, Felix Hernandez. I could go on, but I think Ive proved my point.

umm, no you haven't. what's the difference between those guys and clemens? He's doing at 43 what those guys have never done in their careers, except colon and you see how good he is now.

BTW, contreras and hernandez are not fat.

The fact is, you can get away with being out of shape, when you're young, but not at 43. What clemens is doing, is something that's pretty much never been done.

Fat is fat no matter how old you are.

i disagree. i think it's easier to be heavy and pitch well when you're young. but it starts to wear on you at 43. Of course this is all moot, because clemens isn't fat. His workout regimen is well known, almost on par with bonds.

Look at his ******* neck and cheeks, he is fat.

Not to mention man boobs.

Also David Wells is another 40 something fatass and he is actually pitching pretty well.
