Am I the only one here that thinks Big Jen is a drama queen? First its the "broken foot" then its his "broken thumb" and now he has a "104" degree fever a few hours before kickoff and plays.

If the Falcons win they are up 2-0 in the division ...and whoever wins will be 3-0 overall.

Its an important fact of the matter since the Panthers have lost to the Falcons. The Falcons have also beaten the Bucs. IF they beat the Saints they will be 3-0 in the division.... and I assume would have the tie breaker over Carolina, NO, and TB since they have alreay beaten them. It would pretty much put the rest of hte NFC-S to wild card at best status at that point.

I guess technically you are right, but really there isnt any need of tie breaker talk because they are going to to play all those teams again. So in effect a tie breaker after one game against division foe is pointless.

Falcons would have beaten all 3 NFC South teams IF they beat the Saints Monday night. They beat Carolina in week 1 on the road and beat Tampa at home on Sunday. 3 division games in the 1st 3 weeks. Not a good scheduling job by the NFL....unless you go 3-0.

Ok, but only if you promise to go back to your Transformers, G.I. Joes, and poor taste in music.

THey might play them again but the will have a 3-0 advantage and Carolina would be 0-1 (L Falcons), Saints would be 0-1( L to Falcons ) and, Buccs would be 0-1 ( L to Falcons ) so anyone trying to finish ahead of the Falcons would have beat the Falcons once , others once, and hope the Falcons lose the rest of their divisional games. They could win conferecne games for wild card but hte Falcons have the edge in divisional auto bid if the Saints DO NOT WIN next Monday.

You do realize that division record doesn't determine who finishes 1st in a particular division. The Saints could be 6-0 against the NFC South, and lose the rest of their games and not win the division.

Really? I thought divisional wins win you the division... not just conference wins overall. OHH WELL in that case Panthers will be the NFC S rep..Falcosn Wild Card LOL

Yes. It is overall record first, then divisional as the first tie-breaker.

Yes I am. Overall record always comes before division record when determining a division winner.
