Onside kick by Oregon with a minute left, the Oregon guy touches it after 9 yards, and they recover it. AFTER REVIEW..they said there was CONCLUSIVE evidence that the receiving team touched it first. The receiving team didn't touch it until after the Oregon guy touched it.

THEN...the ball was tipped by the linebacker, clearly shown by replay as the ball was a spiral then changed to end over end and they called pass interference. AFTER REVIEW they said that there was not indisputable evidence that it was tipped.

And yet..Oklahoma just returned it to Oregon's 30.
Here's the FG try for the win...
Timeout. It's a 44 yard field goal try.

I know CougarReggie has pissed his pants at least twice.. lmfao

2 seconds..crowd VERY loud..

....

BLOCKED
If I could protest this game, I would. Oklahoma was screwed...Pac 10 refs gave this game to Oregon.
Holy sh!t, that was a public robbery. I feel for OU's coaches, players and fans.
Say what you want about the call but OU didn't stop Oregon from scoring the go ahead TD.
For Oklahoma players:

- Colorado's 5th down
- Colorado's phantom clipping on Rocket Ismail

... cost us an outright NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ...

The play before that gave Oregon 15 yards and a first down..It would've been third or fourth. Talk about a momentum loss. If your defense plays great and might be able to force a 3rd(or 4th) and 10, and makes a good, legal play but then gets called for pass interference when the ball was tipped, and then after review the reviewer misses the call, you would lose a LOT of momentum.

Those two calls, which were reviewed, were awful. I would investigate the refs and the reviewer.

They shouldn't have had to. If the officials get the call right, OU takes a knee and walks out with the win.

Do you know how deflating it is when a call like that goes against you? It's very hard to go out there and try to stop the other team after something like that.
I didn't watch the game. Did they review the play? If not I don't see how it could be deflating. Without a replay it doesn't look like that bad of a call.
i'm glad OU got beat.

and i am in oklahoma.

You bet your sweet ass they reviewed it. And the call stood. That's what makes me think something fishy was going on.

Yup, and Nebraska's dubious win over Missouri cost Smith his job and gave the 'Huskers a share of a MNC they didn't deserve.

2 Important points:

1) The MAC gets screwed like this all the time.

2) I've always hated Oklahoma.

So...I don't really give a damn.
The MAC gets screwed THAT bad? I'd like to see some proof...

Come on over the the MAC board. Ask about this year's Toledo v ISU game.

Seems like there was a WI game a few years back (NIU v WI?)

And I'm sure many others that fans there would love to talk about
why is everyone talking about the replay? the part that baffles me is, how could Oregon have recovered the ball if Oklahoma came out of the pile with the ball?

They didn't. Oregon got the ball. But replay made it pretty clear (not perfectly due to the camera angle) that it was recovered prior to reaching 10 yds.

The tipped ball was pretty likely too, but it was difficult to see on the TV replay.
