Braves have been mathematically eliminated from winning the NL East this season. 14 straight division championships will never be matched again.
It was a good run to say the least, although they kind of reminded me of the Bills of the 90's.

Hopefully the Reds can get a streak going.

I dont know about that, the Bills made 4 straight superbowls, another record that I doubt will ever be matched. To me going to 4 straight superbowls is a greater accomplishment than making the playoffs 14 straight seasons, but then again atleast the Braves won the World Series the one time they went.
the NL East is shaping up to be the best divison in baseball. with the young talent in every team. next years race look to interesting. i would bet on the fish. their the only ones with great young pitching

the yankees are at 9 ;-)
The Red Sox will get it right one of these years and end the Yankees streak. It took a lot of screwups by the Mets before they put together a team capable of taking down the Braves, but they really made it their mission and got it done finally, and the Red Sox will do the same before the Yankees can break the Braves' streak.

I'm saddened that the run is over. It's been a great ride and I really thought it could continue. But in a way I feel kind of unburdened. I was always wondering how I'd handle the day when the streak finally ended, and now it's here. Maybe I can relax and appreciate the streak more now that it's over.

Thanks for the all great years, Braves.
For whatever reason I feel like the Braves are going to be stuck near the bottom of the division for the next several years.

I kind of get that feeling, too. We don't have the young pitching in our system we used to have, and our new ownership will probably come in and strip our payroll down to next to nothing, to a level where we simply can't compete. I hate thinking like this, but I know what bad ownership can do to a franchise, even a proud franchise like the Braves.
Yeah, the team isnt willing to spend the money that the Mets and Phillies are spending and they dont have the young talent that Florida possesses.
