WF? A video game about coaches or a cut rate attempt to have fantasy football on a console?
Don't buy it. I did. You have to have a lot of patience to play the game. Its got a good start for a first shot, but too much stuff wrong with it.
damn, that's an ugly cover
It's a pretty good game once you get into the season, but the practices and all the little day-by-day minutiae gets pretty unbearable after a while. I'd save your money.
I wanna know if anybody has a PSP, and what they think of it.

Having a PSP and NCAA '07 such that I can play NCAAFB on the go most anywhere sounds really appealing.... but the price of the PSP makes my wallet burst into flames. If the PSP was $100... it'd be the ultimate portable toy.

i just sold a PSP w/ a 1 GB memory card for 140.00
The Head Coach game is awful. For anyone that has thhe 360 get Saints Row. It's like Grand Theft Auto but better.

I much prefer the Nintendo DS. I have the original model but from what I gather the newer DS Lite has a much better screen and I think you can the game you speak of for it and N's wifi is free.

... or play NCAA FB on it ...
... or put MP3s on it ...
... or put video podcasts on it ...

Although I think Linux runs on both the PSP and DS.

actually you can put MP3s ona ds but the item that does that for you is only in Japan at the moment

And you should already have a ipod for you video anyways 03-razz

And how would you hacka psp? It reads games of UMD of wich I don't believe there is a computer drive to read UMDs to hack them.
so umm what is the game about? Fantasy football?
I may be wrong but I think you dont actually play the games, you do all the training camp crap to build up your players or whatever and you control the salary cap and roster moves and all that crap but when game time comes all you do is call the plays and watch. Ive never played it but that is my understanding. Sounds pretty damn lame to me. I mean all the roster and cap stuff can be fun but you still want to be able to control the product you put on the field.

Its an advanced version of fantasy football. I bought it (like an idiot), and like I said takes a lot of patience. You act as both GM and Coach. So you sign, draft, trade players. You choose which players to train (running plays in practice). You manage the playbook, set the depth charts, and manage your asst. coaches. Then on game day you pick the plays and motivate the players. The motivation system is skewed, and you can't specify all the stuff individuals players do (ex: can't tell them to double team a particular player). Its a good start, but can definitely be improved if they continue the product.
So its a football video game for old men who are too lame to figure out how to actually win a game by pushing buttons to control players.
