Did anyone watch the first part of it last night? I thought it was pretty good, myself. It does piss me off that we had UBL on numerous occasions, but were scared to pull the trigger.

Thoughts?
we didn't so oh damn well.

9-11 didn't bother me 5 years ago and doesn't now.

What do you mean, it didn't bother you? How could the deaths of 3,000 civilians not bother you?
Right now, Foxnews.com is replaying their coverage of that day in real time.

My eyes are glued to my computer screen. It still feels surreal.

So you don't care what happens as long as it doesn't directly affect you?
something like that yeah.

and in the grand scheme of things 2,800 people mean nothing.

Maybe to you, but they mean something to me and to many other people. What if it had been you? Or your spouse? Or your child? Would you still be so un-caring?

Can you elaborate as to why? I'd like to make an attempt to understand your thought process before concluding you're an unfeeling SOB.
I watched it and I think it did a half way accurate job of depicting the naivety that we had to radical Islam in the beginning. Even after the first WTC bombing it was not clicking with the American public that some wackos had declared war on us.

Glad it's a Democrat saying this crap and not one of those unfeeling, self-centered Republicans.

yes.

Ok, i'm calling bull sh!t on that.

If you really want us to believe that your wife, child or other member of your family could have died in 9/11 and it would mean nothing to you then either you're full of it or the absolute scum of the earth.
i'm willing to forgive people.
Tulsaman Wrote:i'm willing to forgive people.

Since when does forgiving people equate to not caring what they did?
why get worked up on something you have no control over?
Tulsaman Wrote:why get worked up on something you have no control over?

These words will come back to haunt you.
Tulsaman Wrote:why get worked up on something you have no control over?

To me there's a difference between not getting worked up over something you can't control and not caring at all that it's happened. To not care that your countrymen are dead, that your nation has been attacked and thousands of lives torn apart simply because you can't do anything about makes no sense.
Tulsaman Wrote:why get worked up on something you have no control over?

Well you did not have control over the Oklahoma City bombing either. Did you give a crap when you saw the little kids being carried out dead or was that no big deal??
You didn't have any control over that stingray, either.....

Unless your 35th birthday is coming up, I don't think that will matter. I just meant that you cannot take take any position on this board now without these or other words from this thread being thrown back at you.

For example, if you are telling us you are dying, well in the grand scheme of things that means nothing.
