Peja and the Hornets agree to a deal

Ben Wallace is a Bull. Huge get for them, they now have Thomas, Wallace and Chandler on the front line. Very solid.

That might be worst combination of big time money and no offense ever. Is it just me but are those three guys going to be the same damn player? I guess Thomas has a little potential for offensive game but right now he isnt anything but a shot blocker and a dunker just like Ben Wallace. The Bulls are going to average 59 points a game next season. lmfao lmfao lmfao

The Pistons are going to replace big ben with Nazr Mohammed, it is amazing to me that a stiff like Mohammed can sign a $30 million dollar contract.

chandler's gone. they shipped him to new orleans for PJ brown and JR smith. it's a good move because they get rid of chandler's contract, PJ brown's in his last year and they get rid of one of the three carbon copies.

how can you say nobody on that team can score? what about the smaller guys? deng, gordon and hinrich? i think all gordon can do is score.

I agree on Gordon, he might be the best small 2g in the NBA not named Iverson. I don't understand the Chandler trade. He is much better than Brown and JR Smith will play maybe 10 minutes per game with the Bulls.

it's the contract aspect. chandler is in the middle of a contract, but brown will be a free agent after this season, so they can free up cap space.

I thought Chandler was still on his rooking contract.

Also, I'd take Joe Johnson over Gordon. Now that the Hawks have a real point guard, I expect JJ to blow up. Watch out for the ATL next year. J-Smooth, J-Chill and Marvin are all a year older, and we've got Claxton and Shelden Williams in the mix. We could surprise some peeps.

D-Wade is 6'3-6'4 and Joe Johnson is like 6'7.

On the Hawks. I think they will be awful again. Your counting on Speedy Claxton to lead them to the playoffs?? I still think they should keep JJ at the point, regardless. Also you still need a quality big man, Sheldon is 6'7 and not very athletic, I think you should have gone with Cedric Simmons.

JJ's not a point guard. They wanted him to be one, but that didn't work. Claxton may not be great, but he's a hell of a lot better than Royal Ivey.

As for Shelden, he's a ready-made veteran. He should be able to step in and get 12 points and nine or ten boards a night. No way should we have taken Cedric Simmons. The biggest problem with this team is we have too many 6'8 athletic small forwards. J-Smooth, J-Chill, Al Harrington (although we'll end up trading him), Marvin Williams...Simmons is that same type of player. We needed a banger and a point guard, and we got that this offseason. I expect us to push 40 wins next year.

Sheldon Williams is short and not athletic. He is made for half court sets. The makeup of the Hawks and the addition of Claxton points towards a run and game style of play. Williams doesn't fit that, Cedric Simmons does. He is much more athletic.

Again, we have more than enough athletic forwards. Smith, Childress, Marvin Williams, Solomon Jones...that was not a need. Rebounding was a HUGE need. We had no post presence last year. That's why we took Shelden.

How many 6'7 unathletic PF become forces on the boards in the NBA? The answer is not many, and the ones that do have great motors and Shelden Williams does not have that. I would have applauded the selection of Shelden Williams if it was with the 15th pick. You don't take a player that has already tapped into all of his talent with the 5th pick. Remember Shane Battier? Cedric Simmons offers for much more projection and he dominated Duke when they played (28 pts 9 boards and 7 blocks).

Why do you keep saying Shelden Williams is 6'7? Just about everyone has him listed at 6'9. That may be an inch or two more than he actually is, but that's the case for every NBA player. Dennis Rodman was probably no taller than 6'6 and he was maybe the greatest rebounder of all-time. Barkley was listed at 6'6 but he was really only about 6'4.

I don't think Williams will be a Shane Battier. Battier was a tweener. He didn't really fit one position. Williams is a pure power forward.

I'm really looking forward to next season, it is going to be wide open. If the Suns can put all of their talent together, they should be the favorites, at least on paper.
