Well, let's point out the things that I've seen wrong with tonight's ECW show so far...

1. Letting RVD cut a promo. The man CANNOT TALK!!!! He is an artist in the ring, but STOP LETTING HIM TALK!!!! "And tonight..you're gonna see me WRESTLE..." ugh..

2. Tommy Dreamer and Big Show starting their match with feeble "punches". ECW was all about guys stiffing the everloving crap out of each other. And then, in the same match....

3. Seeing Tommy Dreamer, an ECW original, get buried by a displaced WWE guy. This is the second week in a row that an ECW original has been absolutely buried by a WWE guy, with Justin Credible getting destroyed by Kurt Angle last week.

4. COMPLETELY neutering the Sandman's entrance. THAT is the biggest part of his character!!! First, Vince is too cheap to license his original music, Metallica's "Enter Sandman", and he gives him some horrible generic crap...and NOW, they won't let him pop his beer in the crowd?? He's looking like a horrible poor man's Stone Cold with a stick, when the fact is, Sandman was doing the beer gimmick YEARS before Stone Cold ever thought about it.

5. Macho Libre???? For the love of.....

6. THEY'RE PLAYING JOHN CENA UP AS THE HERO WHEN HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE THE HEEL IN ECW!!!! This is supposed to be ECW'S TURF, and the crowd goes nuts at the very mention of John freaking Cena. Once again, the stupid, idiotic SmackDown crowd is KILLING the effect.

7. Test....in ECW????? Good Lord, no no no no, NO!!!!!

8. Oh, and IF they've gotta bring in Test...why not AT LEAST do it like the old ECW, turn every light out in the building, and then reveal him to be in the middle of the ring...? At least let it be a surprise. Why announce that you're bringing this joker in...?

9. RVD-Angle vs. Edge-Orton was a nice little match, but it's nothing I haven't seen on Raw at least eighteen times in the last two years.

10. This whole ECW/WWE title situation is so freaking confusing. So RVD wins the WWE title from Cena, and now, he's the WWE AND ECW champion...? Okay, so exactly which title is it that he's defending against Edge at Vengeance on Sunday. If it's the WWE title, that's fine...but if RVD drops the WWE belt but gets to keep the ECW belt, then they've just seriously punked out the man who's supposed to be the biggest draw in ECW. Yeah, he'd still the ECW champion, but obviously, ECW's champion would be inferior to WWE's champion.

And something else...check this out...

Legit ECW originals who were on tonight's show
1. Rob Van Dam (and his style is now so neutered from what it was, might as well consider him a WWE guy.)
2. Tony Mamaluke
3. Tommy Dreamer
4. Sandman
5. Sabu

WWE guys on tonight's show..I don't care if they're supposedly a part of the new ECW, they're still seen as WWE guys.
1. Big Show
2. Kurt Angle
3. Randy Orton
4. Edge
5. Lita
6. John Cena (who got the biggest face pop easily)


There's just nothing special about this show....absolutely nothing. This is nothing more than another WWE show with a few extra guys who, to the average WWE fan, look like nothing more than independent circuit rejects.

Vince....why are you doing this...?

They need to have ECW separate of any WWF tapings; that means, no RAW, no SmackDown!, none of that.

I believe everyone will see a true ECW crowd when they go to Philadelphia on the 4th.

It might be because there is not much of a big roster of ECW superstars so they needed WWE superstars to switch over.

Maybe if they can bring back other ECW legends like Rhyno and the Dudley Boyz (they could then use their Dudley last name and stop the lawsuits for the use of the name) it might help.

Don't give up on this new ECW yet, remember this is just a cable tv show.

Take a look back at the Mick Foley/Edge vs. Tommy Dreamer/Terry Funk match at One Night Stand, we can expect more of this to come.

Rhyno could've had a chance, but he signed a new deal with TNA. If you're holding your breath for the Dudleys, you might as well stop; they're probably never coming back.

Agreed...there's a better chance of Raven making that jump. You NEVER see him on TNA TV anymore.

I totally forgot about Raven, I was going to mention him too.

Any chance the ECW Television title and Tag Team Titles will return?

It's possible as long as they eventually split ECW and WWE. I don't like the cross promotional stuff.

Well, eight months later...is it safe to say that this is nothing like the ECW we were hoping for when they began this experiment?

The current ECW champion is Bobby Lashley, a purebred WWE product.

The top contenders are Test and Hardcore Holly, two WWE scrubs who have NEVER amounted to anything in their careers.

And as for the "ECW Originals"..?

They're stuck in some mindless feud with something called the "New Breed".

This "ECW" has succeeded in one thing, IMO..

It helped launch the career of CM Punk.

Besides that...this show sucks as bad as any wrestling I've ever seen televised.

Ok, face it. Angle is a stud. Any style. Justin Credible sucks. Was he even an ECW original? Even if he was, he was a mid-carder at best, who got his break when Lance Storm went to WCW.

Meanwhile, the Big Show was neutered when he left WCW for WWF. So, don't blame him for the way Vince destroyed his career.

Because Vince's ego reigns supreme. ECW is supposed to be something different. Vince needs competition. Wrestling was never better than when WCW was #1, and ECW had Fri night.
