Any thoughts on how it will go down? Here are the first round matchups.

No. 8 Georgia Tech vs. No. 1 Clemson
North Carolina vs. No. 5 CS Fullerton

No. 7 Georgia vs. No. 2 Rice
Miami (FL) vs. Oregon State

I like Clemson over Rice in the finals. Rice has the pitching to win it all, but Clemson is just so strong all across the board.

In OwlJacket's contest, I picked Clemson over Rice as well. But looking at the 8 teams in the CWS, I think you can really pick anyone who can win it all. UNC has a very good pitching staff, which is obviously a good thing to have in the tournament. CSF will of course give their side of the bracket fits.

This could go down as one of the best CWS in recent memory.

After all, Mercer beat Clemson.
