PASS? it looks amazing. i never really knew the ghost rider story, even though i was always a Marvel fan. plus, nicholas cage is pretty cool. national treasure and con air are awesome.
Spiderman is gonna be pimp though. they say there's gonna be 4 villains.

4 Villians? I count Sandman as confirmed who are the other 3? Venom?.....

I haven't seen a confirmed...from what I gather it is a speculated villian b/c of that leaked teaser poster for Spiderman 3 that has spidy apparently in a black suit (aka Venom). The movie site I go to... http://www.darkhorizons.com has confirmed from the movie set about Sandman.
Anywho...aside from Ghostriders graphics the movie looks very suspect.

go to superherohype.com. venom is not gonna have much face time in the movie. topher grace is gonna play eddie brock, and from what i've gathered, he will obtain the symbiote towards the end of the movie. like you said, sandman is the main villain. also, they said green goblin would be in it and the 4th villain is still a secret.

Not being a reader of the comic, but a superhero fanatic, I will go see the movie. However, how are they going to pull Topher off as Brock? I always thought of Brock as more of a buff, brawny guy....

it said green. if it was hobgoblin, it would mean harry osborn would have no part.

Sandman
Venom (even if minimal)
On IMDB recently, I saw "Man-Wolf", who's alter ego is JJ Jameson's son. It's not there now, but I DID see it.
Which would make sense, seeing how John Jameson was an astronaut that changed into Man-Wolf after wearing a ruby found in space, and Venom was a symbiote from space.
I wonder if Mr Fantastic will appear, since he's the one that informed Spidey that his black suit was the symbiote that became Venom when it attached to Eddie Brock.
There's also the potential for the Lizard to show up since his alter-ego has been in Spidey 2. Rumor has Bruce Campbell playing Mysterio's alter-ego in Spidey 3 - but no actual Mysterio. More future set up?
Man, that sounds like a LOT to put in one movie, but over a span of 2-3 it could be REALLY cool.

I was a HUGE comic reader as a kid, and I've recently read the Essential Marvel's so I know the early Marvel stories and legacies.
Frankly, this is reminiscent of the way they handled the Batman series.
The Spiderman movies sucked (well as much as I could bear to watch either of them) so these don't impress me either. I can see Spiderman burning out by 3 or 4 just like Batman and Superman (and apparantly X-Men)
Nic Cage as Ghostrider makes sense, that's actually some good casting...but a dumb character/story.
