Is it just me or does Lebron take about 10 steps on every drive to the basket?

He picks up his dribble at the foul line and just runs like a fullback the rest of the way to the basket. 01-wingedeagle

Everyone does that now. It's just one of the manyyyyyyyy reasons I don't watch the NBA anymore.

How would you know if you dont watch it??? 01-wingedeagle
I think I saw Stern crying after the game. He so wanted LeBron to make it to the next round. He needs the next MJ in the worst way.
IMO The NBA is money right now, he doesnt need an MJ, but in a couple years Lebron could be darn close. The Pistons absolutely shut down Lebron in the second half and the rest of the Caviliers couldnt do **** all day anyways.
I agree with Terpy. The league is doing just fine, even without any of the major media markets near a team still in the playoffs (Detroit media notwithstanding). I think folks are finally figuring out that a great team beats one great player and assorted role players (see also the Lakers right now). Realistically, the Pistons let Cleveland back into the series by slacking off late in Game Two. That gave the Cavs confidence, and they turned up the intensity level in Game Three. The Pistons played three very poor offensive games in a row. Why? I would say that:

1) Pistons didn't "bring it." They got a little arrogant and got lazy and sloppy on offense. There was a definite lack of good passing in evidence in the games Detroit lost, too many isolation plays, and too many turnovers.

2) Rasheed's ankle really hurt him in Games Four and Five.

3) Cleveland figured out they had better start playing defense.

I credit Cleveland and Mike Brown for figuring out that they needed to play at a higher level. They gave the Pistons a scare. In fact, should we beat Miami again in the EC Finals, I will thank them for reminding the Pistons what they needed to do to keep winning.

Not exactly, but he did get away with traveling a couple times. He just covers a lot of ground and does it quickly. The refs did nail the Cavs two or three times for traveling in Game Seven. [/i]

Sportscenter! ;-)

Maybe I should rephrase that. I quit watching because everyone used to do it and got away with it and apparently it still goes on.
Regardless, the NBA playoffs have been quite impressive this year. Dwayne Wade is starting to grow on me as the next big star in this league.
whoa, it's been awhile!
best series by far is Dallas/Pheonix!!!
Yea, it has been a while, I guess college life kind of took over.

Great bounce back game for the Pistons tonight, Miami's free throw percentage was terrible.

And Dallas/ Phoenix has been a good series, although it kind of seems like the energy hasn't been there the first few games due to the length of their prior series. I think it'll be there in Game 5 though.
NBA seems to have caught their 2nd wind with TV viewers.

TNT has seen a spike of 7% increase from last year ratings. ABC 13% and ESPN 17% increases. I think that is in part to so many great series; especially Dallas/San Antonio.

As far as tonite's game goes, as big of a Piston fan as I am I think they are running out of gas. Miami will be so stoked to win this game. And I don't buy that D. Wade with the slight flu crap ala Mike Jordan. Wade is fine and if the Pistons aren't careful he will go off bigtime on them.

I just don't have a good feeling about the Pistons winning tonight.
Wade didn't need to go off. Jayson Williams did it for him. 04-jawdrop Seriously, the Pistons took a page out of the 2004 Lakers' book: they didn't take the Cavs seriously enough, allowed the series to go seven games, then took their tired bodies into a buzzsaw named Miami in game one of the Eastern Finals. I think they passed confidence and into arrogance. It also didn't help that Rasheed was playing on a badly sprained ankle since game four of the Cleveland series. 03-weeping

I think the Pistons need to seriously develop their bench next season. If the starters could get away with playing a few less minutes here and there, this kind of thing would be less likely to happen.
