Is there a meeting topic tonight? Does anyone have anything prepared?
(Isn't someone supposed to be on top of these things? I'm fairly certain that person isn't me; that'd be embarassing.)
Not sure; I sent an email strongly recommending they find an alternative meeting spot over the summer break since I bet the Engineering Bldg will be locked down pretty well.... nobody really took initiative.
At some point over the summer plans for an Installfest need to be discussed.
I will be on the Freenode IRC Network during the time the meeting is going on.
If the meeting does indeed proceed, feel free to join the channel (see directions below) ... I'll answer any questions people might have... bring up a few things.
If the meeting *doesn't* proceed... then still try to join the channel... a cybermeeting as much much better than no meeting at all.
To join the channel.... open up XChat or your IRC client of choice. Type the following series of commands:
/server irc.freenode.net
/nick (whateverYouWantYouNicknameToBe)
/join #colalug
This network (Freenode) is also the one I mentioned and showed on the overhead projector when somebody asked where is a good place to get help. You can also be in more than one channel at the same time, so you could do:
/join #gentoo
/join #ubuntu
/join #fedora
... whatever distro you have, it's got a channel there I bet. Just avoid #debian with its anger management issues :D
