Because he's extremely advanced. Electric stuff with great mound presence. He should (stress should) make the Phillies rotation instantly better.

have you seen him? i've never gotten to, even though he would've played the bulls this year, if he stayed in the IL.
Only once in person, but I came away very impressed. And all the reports are very good on him.

yeah, he's highly regarded. what does he throw? i haven't really read much about him.
He's got a great changeup. Really can change speeds extremely well. He looks like he's got a hard curve, too. Great control. He can throw all his pitches for strikes.
I think I'm going to the game tomorrow night, I can't wait to watch Hamels.
