Ok, it was only a two game series but the Reds took both games and they took 2 of 3 from the Astros during the weekend, beating Oswalt and Pettite.

I'm starting to think the Reds are serious.

i'm not. it's true that it won't take much to be in the race in the NL, but teams will figure out arroyo, and encarnacion will go in a slump, as will phillips. even the yankees can't prosper without a bullpen and a starting rotation.

Maybe your right but Arroyo has faced the Cubs twice and the Cardinals twice. Each time the 2nd start was much better than the first.

didn't he face the cubs, 1st with lee and next without him?

i still think it's not a matter of seeing as much as breaking down tape on him.

Nope, Lee played in both games.

that's cool. well it's like arroyo said; he get s to throw against the pitcher instead of the DH, and he doesn't have to play the yankees 20 times/season.
