How much do you put into it? Is he finally declining being 41 with three knee surgeries, or is he just in a slump? He has just missed a couple of dingers. I still think he'll probably hit around 40, if he plays enough games.
i don't see more than 25. he has had 3 knee surgeries, he is 41 and he has about 10 bone chips floating around his right elbow. he's getting no power from his legs and can't extend his arm.
I don't know why pitchers don't throw to him. I know he WAS good, but right now...I'd quit putting him on, and do him like Ken Ray did.

i agree. it helps the giants a lot more when they walk him.
Along those lines, when will teams stop pitching to Albert Pujols and Andruw Jones? Why don't these guys get the "Bonds Treatment"? I would think Pujols especially has earned that respect, but teams keep allowing him to beat them.
i agree. but part of the reason is pujols has rolen behind him.
You're right, I wasn't really thinking about Rolen.
But as for Andruw, I can't believe he gets as many chances as he does with LaRoche, who LaSucks, batting behind him. I love it, I just don't understand it.

Let's see, Pujols has two home runs against you already that day, do you really give him a chance at a walk off? Dumb decision.

BTW, it's nice to see the MLB board so full. we've been getting more people than we used to, which is totally sweet.

Agreed. I'd love to see this forum become as active as it was in the old days from three or four years ago.
