I use to be a huge fan..But it seems like there is no variety out there anymore. When i was growing up,we would have different indies come through here all the time.. Then I fell in love with ECW,but Vince owns the name and I doubt it will ever be the same..
ECW is long gone except for anymore "One Night Only" pay-per-views they might have.

The way I see it, the WWE was always the king of wrestling. WCW I knew just didn't have the power to overmatch the WWE and it was obvious when they started stealing WWE big names to attract viewers. Eventually WCW became a victim of booking problems and dissapeared forever.

ECW was cool yes and in my opinion was the second best wrestling organization ever, but it didn't have the big promotions like WWE did to survive. But Vince never was determined to get ECW out of business like WCW because if you remember he did allow Paul Heyman and his superstars to perform on RAW when ECW was still around.
Actually, ECW is making a comeback. It'll still be owned by the WWE, but Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer are going to run it. Tommy Dreamer is also going to come back and wrestle.
Are they coming back on cable or will they just be on pay per view?

I never watched ECW myself, but from what I have heard it was defiinately the best wrestling show going as of late....

They're trying to secure TV rights now, whether it be with USA or a member of the NBC Universal network. Trouble is, USA wants to stick them on TV late night, and that would basically kill any chances they have of a rebirth.

Personally, I'd put ECW on USA Network on Tuesdays at 9/8 and let them go at it. Besides, anything is better than the 23557112354218987 showings of Law and Order.
It oughta be interesting, to say the least. We're seeing the seeds being planted now, if you've been paying attention to Raw.

You should be looking at House anyway. That show is freaking awesome but that is for another board.

Saw Tommy Dreamer get his ass kicked last night on Raw. It was mildly amusing....

I don't really watch a whole lot of TV; the only TV shows I really pay attention to are Monday Night RAW, NCIS, and Friday Night SmackDown!. Anything else is filler to me.

Definitely; the Joey Styles' shoot last week was one indication, the RVD-Cena staredown was another one, and the fact that Tommy Dreamer got beat down hardcore was yet another one.

Pro Wrestling is definitely going to get very interesting very soon.

Bank on Tommy Dreamer going to find himself a certain 60something year old partner to help him against Edge and Foley. Someone from both Dreamer and Foley's past....

I smell some Funk...Terry Funk to be exact.
I was a WCW fan myself. 02-13-banana
I just read this on Rajah.com:

Quote:Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that either Vince or Linda McMahon will be announcing in the next week that ECW will begin airing on the Sci-Fi Network sometime in Mid-June. There are no details on timeslots or days of the week as of yet.
