This Reds team can hit with the best of them, the starting pitching is much improved but the bullpen outside of Weathers and Mercker is absolutely horrendous. Please Krivsky, now that you picked up Brandon Phillips (which IMO is a great pickup) you can deal Womack and a few prospects for a passable RP.
Want Reeksma back? ;-)
can you name me a team in the NL that actually has a good bullpen? the Nats probably have the best one. that's pretty sad.

The ump was the problem. It was strike 3, he called it a ball. Next pitch, Giants win.

??? you're gonna blame the ump? wow.
Go back and watch it. It was an obvious strike 3.

Even the Braves announcers pointed it out, and they don't do that often.

on who? winn, or niekro? cause i definitely didn't see it. i'll go back and look.
i looked at it again, and it was not a strike. maybe you noticed the catcher pull his glove towards the plate after he caught it? that's usually a sign that the catcher thought it was a ball.

you think so? i vehemently disagree. isringhausen's a pretty good closer, but the rest of the pen isn't so great. i think a good example would be to take a look at what they did last night.

take a look at their relievers again and you'll see a lot of highly mediocre sixth and seventh inning guys. not to mention the choke artist braden looper.

He still gave up the game-tying shot to Lance Effing Niekro.

well its not so much the pitching as it is the infield that backs them up. i see them in the world series.

Most people are waiting for that other shoe to drop. It seems inevitable that something has to happen soon, what with their 4 second basemen and 3 catchers.

yeah, i don't see a team challenging them. especially now that rolen is officially back to HOF caliber self.
