because if the US wins the tourney, everyone is gonna say this is your typical tourney set up by the US, where the US simply dominates. it would be so huge for this tourney and for any foreign country, if the US would lose in the championship.

If the US were to get eliminated in the first round, though, it would be interesting to see if there's any left interest in this country. I just don't know how much there would be if the US were knocked out, except for the hardcore baseball fans.

oh, i agree. i want to see the US lose in the finals, not the first round.
