oooo... Tangent Inc has filed anti-trust lawsuit against Microsoft for anticompetitive behavior including DRM, server software, and forced agreements to not feature non-Microsoft products.

Boy if that goes through you could finally see the tier-one OEM (Dell, HP, etc) sell a PC with Linux pre-installed.

They sell Enterprise level workstations with RHEL pre-installed. However they DO NOT offer Linux on any of their consumer laptops or desktops here in the US. I'm pretty sure they still offer Mandriva pre-isntalled in France though.

BTW.... Dell PC with Windows pre-installed? It costs less than THE EXACT SAME PC with a blank hard drive. It's *very hard* to escape the Windows tax at the tier-one OEM level.
