Where do I begin? Wild Hop organic lager for breakfest. Ok, taste more like a pale ale, due to the hoppiness. Hobgoblan english dark lager. Pretty good, nice, thick and maltly. Then I pounded some Rolling Rock and Heinies. Pretty good night.

This one's for you LL, well and for me. Blue Moon Winter Ale. Not quite what I was expecting, but I really like it. It's a dark version of the original, and you can almost taste the caramel color. Very aromatic, with a coffee liquer bite, almost like some Kahlua.

Well I guess that is technically true, but I find that fruit completes a lot of wheat beers, not just Blue Moon. Really adds to the flavor. Sam Adams Spring and Summer seasonals are both excellent and an orange or lemon slice can only be a good thing. Though I don't put an orange slice in the winter ale, it's not condusive.

Ewwww, Miller Lite. I was at bW3 the other day, and I bought a round of Sam Adams for the table, my buddy goes to buy the next round, and I'm like, "what the hell is this? This sure as sh!t ain't Sam Adams!" He's all, it's Miller Lite." I was so upset with him.

You know, I've had many different Sam Adam's but haven't tried that one yet. Pale Ale's are by far my favorite, those and IPA's not quite sure the difference (though the IPA's tend to be hoppier. Will have to give it a try one day.

Eghh, what do we have? Lindemann's Pinot Noir. I instinctively grabbed it this morning at the grocery. Seriously, it took me 2 seconds to find this bottle. How is it, one might ask? Ehh. But I haven't had worse or better wines. I drink a lot of wine, and I haven't developed a what I like to call, a "wine snobbery" attitude with Jesus Juice.... yet. Stay tuned.
edit: I can't believe "snobbery" is a word!! lmfao

Right now I'm drinking some matte. Still trying to break the gourd in. Not sure what the hell I'm doing wrong.
03-07-2007, 01:15 PM
The matte now is fine. Just had to keep working with it. But now I'm drinking (no tea for now) some Sterken's Dubbel Ale and some Dominion Spring Brew. Both are excellent. If you are unfamilar with spring brews, imagine Blue Moon, but a sh!t ton better.

Where'd this thread go? Man I'm slackin'. I searched it looking into finding dates on a past Crosstown Shootout (Xavier vs. Cincinnati) and am unearthing a bunch of memories. Oh and by the way, I really know nothing about beer. I like what I like but I'm not great at describing it, as you will note the rather bland details. I'm currently in the process of getting pissed off my second bottle of cheap cab sav.
