Redskins now might be out of the Adams derby
The Redskins' signing of defensive tackle Santana Dotson might take them out of the bidding for former Ravens defensive tackle Sam Adams. It's not out of the question that the Redskins will try to re-sign defensive end Marco Coleman, whom they released Monday. Adams rejected a $5 million signing bonus offer from the Ravens in February and voided his contract. He doesn't want to sign for a discount, so if he doesn't bring down his price, the Redskins might have satisfied a need by signing Dotson. They also added guard Kipp Vickers, who also has the ability to play tackle. David Loverne and Rod Jones have the inside track on being the starting guards, but Vickers could challenge during camp.
