Vacationing

Five couples, whose last names, in alphabetical order, were Davidson, Dorman, Hamden, Martin and Rusk, took their holidays abroad (Majorca, Malta, Manitoba, Mexico, and Montreal.) With the help of the following information, can you determine which couples went where and for how long (7, 9, 10, 14, or 18 days)?

<ul type="square">[*] The Davidsons' holiday lasted for half as long as that of the couple who visited Mexico, but longer than the holiday taken by the couple who visited Manitoba.</li>[*] The 10-day holiday was taken by the Rusks.</li>[*] The Dormans' holiday was twice as long as that of the couple who visited Montreal.</li>[*] The Martin's holiday lasted longer than the holiday taken by the couple who visited Malta. </li>[/LIST]

This is more my style. Words are used to disguise meaning more than to clarify.

I agree with LK. There is no real need to post the results. You know if you have it right or not.
