NCAAbbs - The Official ACCbbs Pool Tournament Thread!

OK folks, this will be the official thread for the pool tournament.

You will be grouped into pods of three. Within your pod you will play each of your opponents 3 times. The three games against your opponent will count as one match. The player with the best record in each pod advances to the finals. In the event of a tie another 3 game match will be played to determine a winner.

Please report all match results to me via PM.

I did my best to pair you up with people having the same availability. I suggest you communicate via PM to set up times to play, etc.

You have until 11:59 PM Wednesday night to complete pod play. In the event you are unable to play your games in this time frame, the player I deem to be responsible for being unavailable will forfeit.

GTS has been awarded this pod because I know for a fact he was on him computer all hours of the evening and he let me know he wasn't able to get ahold of the other 2.

Karma....this looks like its going to be an excellent challenge! Well done! I'll send out emails to Oriorip and Whiteville immediately.

One question. Say each person in the pod wins 1 match and all three end up at 1-1..... What is the tiebreaker? Do you go to overall record?

Eample:
Player A beats Player B 3-0
Player B beats Player C 2-1
Player C beats Player A 2-1

Each player is now 1-1. But the overall records are different. Player A is 4-2, Player C is 3-3, and Player B is 2-4. Would Player A then win the pod?

Now what if each player is 1-1 while being 3-3 overall?

OK..... I beat whitevillepack 2-1 and oriorip beat whitevillepack 2-1.

Which would make oriorip5 the champ of our pod.

Pac10 defeats UDC 2-1. I still haven't played wfumike.
