"But Larry, you said the next challenge would be posted tomorrow!!!!!!" Yep....I lied! OK....this is a stock market challenge. There are 6 members remaining from each tribe. Each of you have to pick a stock, and your combined earnings/losses will decide the challenge. Here are the details.....

-All 12 of you must take a stock on the NYSE. If your stock is not on the NYSE, it will be considered invalid.
-We will compare the change in price from closing today (Wednesday) to the price at closing tomorrow (Thursday). We will add together the totals for all six members of your tribe. Whichever tribe has the highest total wins the challenge
-Once a stock has been taken, it can no longer be used
-In your reply, you must list the correct symbol (ex: McDonalds Corporation is MCD). If the symbol is incorrect, your post is invalid
-Any edited posts will be considered invalid
-The deadline to post your reply is 9 AM tomorrow morning (opening bell....). Any post with a timestamp of 9:01 AM or later will be considered invalid
-You may not have two replies with stock choices in it
-If someone fails to reply they will get Microsoft (MSFT) as their choice which dropped almost an entire point today

Sony is up 2.09 early.

I thought that might happen. Didn't they surpass earnings estimates or something?

If I hadn't taken a nap from 7 to 12 last night (trying to re-energize myself for today's challenge), I would have grabbed Sony.

Viacom started the day so promising, and then went down, down, DOWN....

As of 1:45, the totals of the two teams are:

N'Sync = -0.94
Backdoor = -0.39

It is the difference in closing numbers from Wednesday to Thursday. Therefore we are talking about flat gains and not percentages.

Microsoft is up .63 today! It would have actually been beneficial if someone had missed the challenge!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!

AOL's low earnings report killed the market today.

Ironically, AOL went up today.

Damn -- I think the only thing that can stop the Viacom freefall is the closing bell.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

And LT, I had a feeling that Microsoft wouldn't be that bad today....
