BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...for his sake, I hope he makes the N-B-A, or he is in real trouble.
Yeah, he better not rely on that degree from a top 10 university! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="rolleyes.gif" />
BTW, he never hit a girl, he shoved her.
LMAO, here we go again! <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" />

Are we sure that this is casey? i mean, someone with the same initials can put that up... I just find it beyond comprehension that anyone(even a dook bball player) would be capable of such a blatant act of idiocy.
PS- Hey nate, guess who I saw today?
Oh, man, i just got verification... check this page, it's a resident roster at dook:

I don't bash Dixon and think he cheated because he didn't even fully qualify @ MD at first.

just as the devil's advocate, HTML can be a bit perplexing for folks with little to no experience with it (i'm assuming that this is the case for casey). Honestly, there are some very intelligent friends of mine who can't use html, yet are doing better than i am academically. Sorry if this contradicts my last statements, that was coming from my 'skilled html worker' perspective.
#1 when did I say anything about Casey Sanders cheating? I just think his is dumber than a brick and obviously you feel differently, but don't accuse me of saying he cheated because I never did.
#2 before you speak nate, you should do some research...the University of Maryland system has just implemented new academic standards for all atheletes which now makes them the toughest (even more so than your beloved Duke) in the ACC...look it up dookie, I ain't making it up. It is actually causing us some problems right now by the fact that some of our key football players are trying to qualify for this season and are seem to be having...er...some trouble.
#3 where am i spewing hypothetical situations??? do you even know what that means? it doesn't seem like it. the only situation that I threw out there was saying that I don't believe that Casey Sanders is going to get his degree anytime soon, but judging from your response you seem to know him very very well and he must be a distinguished young man. BTW do you know him as well as Chris and Reggie because you sure showed how well you knew them in our infamous introduction to each other...for the record, I think you are full of **** . You say you know someone when in actuality, you might say hi or something or give them a wink or tell them their eyes are angelic but that aint knowing someone, if I am wrong, I am wrong, but from what I have seen from you on this board, I think you are making the whole thing up. and don't go into this my mom is an ugly duke and my grandmoher's an iron duke bull**** and that is how you are able to meet and get to know all of the players because I can see right through that.

That is some serious knowledge that guy is spewing, huh?
You said "us idiots who actually earned their education". You didn't directly say it, but you inferred it, and dont even try to BS your way out of it.
Wow, Maryland did something to tighten up restrictions. That doesn't make your players any smarter, or have any better of grades. We have tight restrictions, AND have smart athletes.
Hypothetical situation #1) Casey won't graduate.
Hypothetical situation #2) You're making more money right now than Casey will ever make.
This is not really hypothetical, because it's the past, but #3) Casey didn't "earn" his way through HS and Duke.
BTW, check your PMs...
So you are telling me that even without his basketball skills Casey Sanders would get into Duke? That's what I meant by "earning" my education, I never implied he cheated. Not even close to what I had in mind.

OK, I guess this is partially my mistake, but I think he "earned" it by being a good baller. If you mean "earned" as in, "did he have the brains to do it w/o basketball", then sorry, I misunderstood that.

SSJT, you kinda figure you actually learn from a college as prestigious as Duke.
Every college has it's dumber athletes, and Casey isn't even one of them. From personal experience, he isn't as moronic as that webpage seems.
BTW, even if he has to fall back on a regular job, that is far from real trouble.
Also, Duke graduates 90%.
Just curious, if casey is one of the brighter athletes, why didn't he graduate in 2001, like most students born in 1979?

Check the birthdate, and you'll understand.
Disclaimer: Yes, I know there are many other players on different teams that were in this situation, i'm simply using it to question Casey's intellectual ability.
Because his birthday is after the October 17th deadline. I don't know about the other states, but the 2 stats I've lived in have had a deadline for grades at Oct. 17th.
See, he was born so late in 79, that he's in the same grade as people who were born in the early part of 1980.
EX: I was born in February, 1987. One of my friends, in my grade, was born in November, 1986.
BTW, he's majoring in the same thing as Terpy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

If so, there is no deadline here (to my knowledge) for grades, just the typical December 31st. For example, I was born in November, 1987, and I am in the same grade as a friend of mine who was born in February, 1987.
I was born in '79, and I graduated in 2001. Seems that even if Sanders missed some kind of cut-off that year, he still would have graduated in 2002 (a year behind me). As it is, he seems to be still going.
I don't really care one way or the other, though. He could have redshirted one year for all I know (or care)....
-JD
He didn't redshirt, although I think he may have played five years in high school (public and private)
Jenibu, there must have been a restriction in 95, because I remember being pissed off when my friend missed the cutoff by 3 days. (His bday was Oct. 14th)
Casey might have played 5 years in HS, cause he did go to Tampa prep, which means he might have had to "reshirt" a year in HS.
I entered in 1992 so I guess its possible that the terms were different in 1995- but if this friend was the same age as you, wouldn't he have already been admitted? Maybe he had lived in another state previously and was behind a year due to that....
He had just moved that summer, and we had gotten to be really good friends. He got held back though. I was so pissed at the school.
That sucks, but I think he may have been held back from the state he came from because the same thing happened to a friend of mine. Either that or he was just too stupid for your school <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
Probably the latter, lol. I just talked to him a couple months ago, and he is totally burned out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
