Carolina will be on the power play when the second period starts....
I feel really good about how this game has started. The Wings have looked tight -- I was expecting the opposite -- and the Canes have really been sharp on hitting. We've been really lucky on some shots that hit the post, though.
Keep up the intensity, Canes!

What happened to the trap defense Carolina played in Detroit? The Red Wings are gonna score some goals if they keep getting the opportunities like they did in the 1st. Especially if they decided to come out and play in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Shoulda won it in regulation. Hats off to the Wings for hanging in there -- they seemed sharper in the overtimes, and it felt like a matter of time before they were going to get one in.

I went to the game last night with one of my friends! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> Let me just say, that the atmosphere at the ESA was great <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> , especially at the beginning. The fans were loud and crazy; it was great. I was sitting very, very close behind one of the goals (4 out of 5 of the goals were scored on it). As the game went on though, the Canes slowly lost their momentum, and the crowd steadily quieted <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" /> and the children drifted to sleep <img border="0" alt="[snore]" title="" src="graemlins/snore.gif" /> . Everybody in the building new that we should have won the game in regulation, and after the game a lot of people just filed out silently. It was an awesome experience that I will remember for a lifetime (it's too bad we lost).
Game 4 is going to be extremely important. It is going to be a must win for Carolina. If the Canes get down 3-1 with the series headed back to Detroit we are probably done-for. GO CANES! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
