I'm no Lakers fan, but Kobe is freakin unreal. This guy is starting to look a lot like MJ. He's not even close to MJ's level right now, but if anyone is going to be the next MJ, it's Kobe.
Kobe... <img border="0" alt="[Bow]" title="" src="graemlins/bow.gif" />
BTW, he would have gone to Duke had he gone to college <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> No joke
That is scary!
If so, he would've been on that 1998 team with Brand, Battier, Langdon, Avery, Maggette, James, Burgess, etc. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
And that team went something like 38-2.
Did they win the title, though?

Kobe was awesome last night. When he wants to score he will, and when he is hot it is awesome to watch <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" /> . Like Jordan, Kobe plays with so much savvy and so smooth. If he keeps improving, he will be one of the greats.
The most impressive thing about Kobe though, is not the moves he makes or how much he scores, or the great defense he plays, it's when he does it.
He is a great player late in games. He continues to make huge plays in the waning moments when the game is on the line. He attacks pressure, loves to take the big shots, but he also has the ability to make the big pass late in the games.
He is a great late game player, that to me is where he seperates himself from the others.
I appreciate Kobe's game just as much as anyone but he isnt Jordan and probably never will be, Jordan never had Shaq around to dominate for a whole game until the end when Kobe takes over. Jordan did it all by himself and Kobe just does whatever needs to be done when Shaq is finished killing people.
I will agree that Kobe is not Jordan, of course he is only 23 yrs old. But to say Jordan did it all by himself is way off base. Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Dennis Rodman, John Paxson, Cliff Levingston, Toni Kukoc, etc. This was a very talented team, these were not stiffs.
And if these guys were so bad, how come they were able to win 55 games the year Jordan retired an attempted to play baseball? You don't win 55 games by not being pretty good!

Agreed, none of them are Shaq. But I was only responding because in your previous post you DID say Jordan did it all by himself. I just wanted to point out that those guys, did win 55 games the next year.
