thought this would be interesting...it's easy...every time you play...post where you played, the date, and your score...for instance

It's a real course, but way too damn easy.
If you want a hard course, then
Washington Duke, dont have the date, 81 on 18
I know people who have been playing for 15+ years and are finally scoring in the mid to low 80's.
I find it odd that you can score an 81 -- you should be able to win state championships by the time you're a senior, at that rate.
5/11 - Oak Valley - Championship Tees - 74
5/12 - Oak Valley - Championship Tees - 70
5/19 - Reynold's Park - Champ - 69
5/20 - Reynold's Park - Champ - 77
And I know plenty of kids who were breaking 80 around Nate's age who never really improved upon it.
After those recent scores were entered in the computer yesterday my handicap dropped down to a 0.2! Woohoo

they must have been playing since they were, really young i would think
Silver Spring - that is usually the case, but I know a few golfers to whom the game came naturally very quickly.
I started playing when I was 14 and was consistently breaking 80 at Randolph North Golf Course in Tucson, AZ(hosted PGA Tour event for years and now hosts LPGA) by the time I was 16.
May 22
The Easton Club - Blue Tees
83
I can attest to what LK is saying...I have been shooting in the 80's consistantly since I was about 13, but I have never been able to drop it into the 70's for a consistant period of time..once in a while, sure, but still not consistantly...I'm young though, I can wait.
Playin' South River Tuesday Morning...

Handicap is now down to +1(That ould be less than scratch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> )
I thought you only associated the word scratch with your dates!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" />
It took me a while to get into the 80's but I could never get any further. Now that I have a new hip, I have a new swing to go with it. I would love to be able to rotate, but that is not possible any more. Sucks. You all have fun!
I would think I qualify for the old fart of the boards award!!!! Bow down and praise me!!!! <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" />
Let's see if this works.

Careered it yesterday. I shot a 65 on my home course. It's not the lowest score I've ever shot since I have a couple 64's on par 70 courses but it is the first bogey free round of my life.

DAMN...LK must be real good...did you play golf at WFU?
I didn't play at WFU but I did get offers to play elsewhere which I turned down. I pretty much hung up the spikes while in college and have taken the 2 years since I graduated to round back into form. My handicap is current +1.5.

Damascus, I played at Hilton Head earlier this year, at Harbour Town. It was an absolutely beautiful course, was hard, but cost 200 to play.
The MCI something is played there.
Just played at Roaring Gap CC in Allegheny Co.
Day 1 - Championship tees - 82
Day 2 - Championship tees - 84
Day 3 - Junior tees - 78 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> (just for the hell of it)

Nate...MCI Heritage Classic. I played HT when I was a young tyke and it was indeed incredible. It's $250 nowadays.
66 (-6)
Hillcrest golf club
A stupid easy golf course with 5 par 5's, all under 500 yards. I eagled 2 of them. Serioously, the rating on this course is only 69, which means a scratch golfer has to shoot 69 just to keep his handicap at scratch.

71 (E)
Reynold's Park GC.
LK, you should know this course.
Twin Lakes aka "The Puddles"
Yesterday
34 (9 holes) (-2)
3 birds and a bogey
2nd easiest course I've seen in my life.
I've heard of it but never played it.

7/20 - Reynold's Park GC 71(E)
7/21 - Reynold's Park GC 80(+9) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
7/23 - Winston-Lake GC 68(-3)
7/26 - Grandview GC 67(-4)
7/27 - Reynold's Park GC 72(+1)
Damn, my brother is 12 and just shot an 80! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

LK and DT2, are these scores from the whites (mens) or the blues (championship)?
always the blues, always the blues, unless I am playing with some of my buddies who just wouldn't have any fun playing from the tips
Nate, I play the tips at any course I can find. I am a legit +1(that would be below scratch) handicap.
Recent scores:
8/2 - Reynold's Park, round one of county amateur - 76 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" /> Horrible score on a course I usually shoot in the 60's on.
8/3 - Winston-Lake, round 2 of county amateur - 72. Only 11 players in the 240 player field shot lower that round.
8/4 - Grandview GC, final round of county Am - 81 Worst score I've ever shot there. A horrible weekend of golf for me. I finished somewhere around 50th in the tourney.
8/6 - Longcreek GC - 72(E). Normal round.
8/10 - Reynold's Park, interclub match against Oak Valley - 68. That's one of the best tourney scores of my life.
8/11 - Oak Valley, BLACK TEES - 72(E). I made 7 birdies and 2 doubles. The slope rating at Oak Valley from the tips is 74.1, which is higher than the slope rating at Pinehurst #2!!
Current handicap after yesterday: +1.1
in my first game ever i had a 106, it was in tennessee somewhere... im more of a driving range kinda guy... the thing is i hit it 200 yards but like 50-100 yards to the right of where i am
any suggestions? haha
80
University of Maryland Golf Course (BLUES)
August 22
August 30th - 96 (third time ever that I've broken 100)
August 31st - 79 in a two-man scramble (I shot well enough that I'd have been in the mid-90's again if I had been on my own). My partner and I finished two points out of first place in our tournament. We had 7 bogeys and 11 pars. Just one birdie would have gotten us the extra 2 points to tie us with the winners. UGH!!!!!!!
