of the NBC coverage?
In my opinion it was nice to have a race without DW and the boogity, boogity, boogity crap, No offense to the DW fans <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
I like the way they go though the field and tell you how each driver is doing.
One thing they could do without is the stupid bubble heads above each car as they're going though the field most Nascar fans know what the driver looks like just give us the details of how they're doing.
I have a feeling that Allen Bestwick and the boys will do a fine job the second part of the season <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />
I prefer the Fox coverage, fox seems to put more excitement into all of their sports broadcasts than the other networks do. The follow up about every racer, I thought was kind of boring, I would rather know who is currently charging through the field or what is happening up front than know how Kyle Petty is doing in the 36th place (sorry to any Petty fans out there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> )
Yeah I understand what you're saying Terpy, Fox did make it interesting with the Crank it Up and stuff like that! I think the main reason I didn't like Fox was because of DW, the rest of it was fine! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />
The though the field thing I agree with ya maybe not the whole field just maybe the top 10 or even top 20.
I must disagree with you FC04. <img border="0" alt="[NoNo]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> I much prefer the Fox coverage over NBC. One of the things that Fox does that NBC does not, is the "crawl" or leader board across the top of the screen. IMHO, this is much easier to follow than flashing the field of drivers three at a time.
As for DW, he is a bit flamboyant at times (a.k.a. cheering for "Mikey"), but he truly adds credence to the term "color commentator." He teams so well with Jeff the crew chief.
Perhaps I'm missing the boat, but some of those guys on NBC seem like total buttheads! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
The crawl is much easier to read I would agree with you on that BeatWestern <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
As for the buttheads <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> I don't care for Benny Parsons or Wally Dallenbach but I think the rest of the crew is ok. They should bring back Larry Mac and Jeff Hammond and kick those two out.
I guess what everyone can agree on is if there was to be a way that the best qualities from both NBC & Fox were combined it would be the greatest coverage around! Hey, I know it will never happen but I can dream can't I???? <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" />
