NCAAbbs - If I were Reggie

Dookie you are so naive and misguided it almost makes me sick. Unless you pass out when you get drunk you dont forget about your friends and leave them passed out somewhere you take care of them and make sure they are ok. Just frikin give up, you are wrong on this, there is nothing wrong with being wrong sometimes it happens. I know as a Dookie this may be hard for you to realize but you even have a fellow Dookie telling you that you are wrong give it up please.

BTW, that is not as close to fact as you can get. You have got to be kidding me. It depends from person to person. Alcohol affects people differently. Are you trying to say that this couldn't happen?

11:00 Duhon and Love go to the party

11:30 Duhon goes into a different room from Reggie and gets drunk as crap.

11:45 Reggie passes out.

12:00 Duhon hooks up with some girl he's been talking to for a half hour and is still wasted.

12:10 The girl and Duhon leave, neither thinking about Reggie because they are too drunk to think about anything else but (Duhon: some *****) (the girl: some **** ).

BTW, I should have said something about this earlier, but it didn't even cross my mind.

Is Duhon supposed to be Reggie's freakin mom? It's Reggie's fault that he passed out. Chris shouldn't have to go check on Reggie every 10 minutes. They are 2 separate people. Duhon does his thing. Reggie does his thing. They shouldn't be worrying about each other all night.

BTW, I'm not saying that whole scenario happened, I'm just saying something similar to that very much could have happened.

As far a your hypothetical situation...Most friends, even if they are about to get some <img border="0" alt="[NoNo]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" /> , would check on their friends that were at the house and make sure they were ok and didn't have any nutsack in their face. Especially, if I were a dookie and I was at a UNC frat house.

And no, they shouldn't be worrying about each other all night, but when it is time to go, you round up your good friends and head off, YOU DON'T LEAVE PEOPLE BEHIND...this has been my point the entire thread Dookie!!!!

I could really care less how drunk duhon or love was, all I care about is the fact that a teammate left a fellow teammate behind (in hostile territory no less) and look what happened!!! Gotta love the comradarie that Coach K teaches his kids huh? THAT IS MY POINT DOOKIE!!!!!

Duhon wasn't trading any friends for any women. I never even said he was with a woman, it's just a possibility. The thing is, Duhon most likely had other things on his mind when drunk, and Reggie probably would have done the same thing Duhon did, had chris passed out. It would NOT be worth kicking his ass over.

It's not an excuse when you think of it as, "I'm sorry, I did it cause I was drunk".

But what the original person accused Duhon of was not caring about Reggie enough to get him away from the situation. When you think about it, an average person is sober about 95% of the time. During that 95%, Duhon will help Reggie, so the original poster really has no point, which is the point I tried to convey in my first post.

Are you denying that Duhon would have helped out Reggie if Duhon was sober?

I would hope Duhon would have made a better decision would he been sober, but guess what....HE WAS DRUNK!!! And no matter how you slice it, or twist it, or how many hypothetical situations you throw out...he left his teammate (and his very close friend) at the party...passed out and in a vunerable situation. I am going to say this again, for the nthteenth time, good friends do not do this...repeat...good friends do not do this. I don't care if he had had more to drink than he had ever had before, if he truly cared about Reggie, like you swear he does, he would have not left him there.

LK, I already said it was both Duhon and Reggie's fault for getting that drunk. Search around this thread and you'll find it. But Duhon is not a bad friend for what happened to Reggie.

I believe that Chris Duhon is a punk for doing this (no matter how drunk he was). If this is the type of team comradarie that goes on at Duke, then I feel sorry for them, no matter how many games or championships they win, because they are missing out on the most important aspect of collegiette athletics.
