David Stern said that he wants to see the league go to six divisions if the NBA adds an expansion team in Charlotte.

What are some possible scenarios for realigning the divisions?

-JD
Here's a possibility:

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Atlantic

New York
New Jersey
Boston
Philadelphia
Washington

Southeast

Charlotte
Atlanta
Miami
Orlando
Memphis

Central

Chicago
Detroit
Cleveland
Indiana
Toronto

WESTERN CONFERENCE

Northwest

Milwaukee
Minnesota
Portland
Seattle
Utah

Southwest

New Orleans
San Antonio
Dallas
Houston
Denver

Pacific

Phoenix
Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Clippers
Sacramento
Golden State

It's not perfect, but it's about the best way to divide the divisions and still have two teams in Los Angeles.

That looks pretty good. There was talk at one time about the T'wolves moving to the East (basically to stay as far away from the Lakers as possible), but there isn't any place to put them unless you move Toronto to the West.
