Move over SEC.....Rebel hoops are on their way. We are positioned to win this year and everyone else should stay at home.

On Monday, we played West Alabama in the Tad Pad and routed them 97-35. The Rebel hoopsters had 6 players in double figures. But you say....it was just West Alabama. Well, listen to a little fact not mentioned on the Ole Miss website....Reed, Sanders, Kirkland, and Wade didnt touch the floor either

UGA fans thought they had something special this year....and not a one of their recruits qualified

Bama thinks they will make up for their fball probation with basketball......bwahahahahahahaha

Arkansas leads you in basketball, despite your years of blatant aggressive cheating .... 36-18! You'll NEVER catch up to us.

The era of sleepy Nolan is gone... we got Stan "The Man" Heath now. He's already beaten Alabama with players from Kent State. He also beat Oklahoma State and Pittsburgh as well. Can his strategies beat Ole Miss? Sure they can...Heath's been to 3 Final Fours and won a nat'l title already. Speaking of that, how far in the Big Dance have you gone? I mean, I haven't noticed, given the 6 Final Fours we've been to.

We just signed ESPN's #6 player nationally....which is tough to do because we have to confess that not all SEC schools have the top-notch facilities that we do... some (cough, Tad Pad, cough) are a crumbling disaster area.

We had 9500 for Midnight Madness...that's a PRACTICE. You can't even draw that for a GAME with that eyesore you call a gym.

We sweep you in baseball, we've just beaten you twice in football. You brag about your precious Eli so much.... he's 0 for 2 against us. SEVEN OVERTIMES... I bet it still haunts you guys today... SEVEN And we lead that series too... 26-22-1... you just can't win.

My Lord, you guys don't even have a Wal-Mart Supercenter. How pathetic is that? Even Starkghanistan has one of those.

And national titles... how many national titles does Ole Miss have?

We can't stop getting them...we're #5 in the country at it... wanna have us loan you some trophies so you can pretend you have a program?

There are so many things wrong with this post. That I don't know QUITE where to start. Seriously, leave the boundaries of the state sometime.

While we may "never" catch you in the overall basketballs series, who wins lately buddy? How many of the last 6 or so has Arkie put away? The Final Fours were more than a few years in the past. I dont think I was even in college then as a matter of fact. But I digress

The Tad Pad is a beloved piece of Ole Miss. While it may not be top notch, it is loud and proud. We are building new facilities....and in many ways, I wish we'd just leave well enough alone. While we might not can fit a lot of people, every one of us yells with all we have. We ALL have our heart in it....and we dont' shut up when we're down. Unlike some other places.....

This isn't even about football. It said basketball in the title. So I'll save my fball bashing for a later date.

Oxford DOES have a Walmart Supercenter....though I don't know what that is supposed to prove. Only someone from Arkansas would put any merit into something like that.

Our mascot is ours to worry about...btw. And, I seriously wish everyone else would find something better to do with their time.

Were they at the skating rink? By your logic, the Rebels would be national championship contenders if they beat a highschool team. There is a reason teams like West Bama are scheduled for preseason exhibition--they aren't supposed to come close to competing. These games are meant to be game-speed practices intent on getting the last few sets of season tickets sold (which might not happen if the AD has his way 05-nono

A jacket defend UGA? I feel pretty safe in saying that you could be disowned by your fellow Tech fans. And yes, I know one lucky recruit got by......But this some how reminds me a bit of Dr. Dontae Jones (fellow SEC fans will know what I'm talking about). And bring on the Jackets. oh puhlease. Are you sure you're not FROM Arkansaw? That is so not what I was saying...I think our team is going to be great on the basis of many things. AND I said NOTHING about the national title...I said SEC. So, if you're going to talk smack to me, at least pay attention and know what you're talking smack about. :rolleyes:

Oh, and don't get me started on our AD. He's just about as dumb as our ridiculous football coach.

Jeremy, man, it's tough to go attack a helpless girl, much less one from Mississippi. Your heart just isn't in it.

I will add certain things though.

1) The "Tad Pad" can't generate enough energy to light the bug zapper every Rebel has in their backyard. That facility is a dump, you know it, the rest of the SEC knows it, but you're too proud to admit it.

2) You win all your games using Arkansas-bred players. You OWE Nolan for sitting on his fat lazy ass and bitching about how he's mistreated b/c he ONLY had a free SUV, free country club pass and a $1 million/yr contract, instead of recruiting. As Lou Holtz put it "Anybody besides Arkansas that gets a recruit from the state of Arkansas, they're cheating... Switzer, DuBose, Billy Brewer (OM's proudest football coach), etc. " They'll find enough dirt on Rod Barnes soon enough.

3) Again, til Rod Barnes can make a decent run for anything, you haven't proven yourself at all yet. Hell, we've only been in the SEC 10 years and have 3 conference titles, 5 division titles, 2 Final Fours and a national title. Hell we even got an SEC tournament title with a sorry ass team in 2000. Rod Barnes does fine in the regular season, but when it comes to the big game, the tourney, crunch time, they pull a Gettysburg and choke.

Ole Miss basketball is the equivalent of Buffalo Bills football. Never can finish the job when it counts.

Maybe it's something with having red and blue as your colors, who knows.

I think Nolan's biggest problem was with people trying to pick off his horses every year. He didn't have enough time to recruit.

I think Nolan's biggest problem was that he sat on his laurels after the Final Four. He just flat out quit coaching, recruiting, everything after 1996.

I stil get mad about that... especially after KHOG interviewed him last Sunday. He STILL thinks he was the target of racism, a 'high-tech lynching'.
It hacks me off... this is a guy who was getting $1.08 million a year, he had a free SUV, a free country club membership, free clothes, free shoes, a private jet at HIS dispense, a gigantic farm outside the city limits, etc. Yet he claims he was mistreated. What a load of crap. First off, you're in the hot seat at Arkansas if you don't win a division title in 5 years. Second, that seat is hotter when you can't beat Ole Miss. Good basketball programs DO NOT lose to Ole Miss...bottom line. But he really blew it when he attacked the media for questioning him during a losing season. He couldn't take criticism, and lashed out, embarassing the school. Fortunately for UA, John White has a helluva lot more balls then Myles Brand did at Indiana. Once was enough for us, and Nolan got bought out, and replaced by an African-American coach (and one of the best) in Stan Heath.

Nolan got $3 million to leave, he had all those perks above, plus 19,200 seat Walton Arena, and he was mistreated? Nolan claims racism, Stan Heath called Fayetteville "the friendliest town in America", and the facilities at Arkansas "clearly the best in the country". He's proven that with his lastest recruiting class. Heath's also got a 5 yr, 4 million contract, making him the 3rd highest paid coach in the SEC, while having never coached a game for UA yet.

Forget the horses, I'm glad that Nolan brought all the prestige to Arkansas basketball in the 90s that he did, but he left burning every bridge he had with Razorback fans, the city, and the University.

If the aforementioned Reed, Sanders, Kirkland, and Wade played AIA this past weekend, I say they should be cut from the team. It is more than apparent Ole Miss is a better team without them. 03-razz

I don't give a rat's rectum about basketball but the statement that all of Ole Miss' wins against Arkansas is so much s-hit. I don't care if they are from Alaska - if they have an Ole Miss jersey on, they are getting beat by Ole Miss and vice versa.

Nolan Richardson was an over paid a-hole. IMO

Our mascot shouldn't be a concern for anyone else but us. It isn't racist but I think the "tired old man" needs to be up-dated.
